Representing Your Community Through Policy and Engagement: Phase IV
Representing Your Community Through Policy and Engagement: Phase IV focuses on in-depth discussions and examples of a board member’s role as a policymaker and interactive small-group sessions that walk through an actual community engagement activity. This workshop will also have a segment on working with the media and public forums.
Note: The sessions in the MSBA Learning to Lead Workshop Series (Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IV) can be taken in any order.

Virtual sessions
Choose one session from Part A and one from Part B. Attendance at both Part A and Part B is required to receive attendance credit.
- Part A: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023
- Part A: 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 20, 2023
- Part B: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023
- Part B: 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 27, 2023
Advance registration for this two-part virtual session closes on April 10. Registration completed April 11-17 will be considered late/walk-in and you may not receive materials prior to attending.
In-person session

Advance registration ends Tuesday, April 25. Walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the event.
Workshop fees: $210 for advance registration ($230 for late registration)

MSBA Event Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Meeting Participants for Representing Your Community Through Policy and Engagement: Phase IV
(1) If a pre-registered participant cancels any time prior to the date registration closes, MSBA will fully refund the registration fee.
(2) If a pre-registered participant cancels between the date registration closes until the time the MSBA-sponsored event/activity begins, he/she will be charged an administration fee of $85.
(3) Once an event/activity begins, all registrants are responsible for the full registration fee.
