Representing Your Community Through Policy and Engagement: Phase IV

Representing Your Community Through Policy and Engagement: Phase IV focuses on in-depth discussions and examples of a board member’s role as a policymaker and interactive small-group sessions that walk through an actual community engagement activity. This workshop will also have a segment on working with the media and public forums.

Note: The sessions in the MSBA Learning to Lead Workshop Series (Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IV) can be taken in any order.

Workshop Schedule

Two-part virtual workshop:

  • Part A: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023
  • Part B: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023

Workshop fees: $210 for advance registration ($230 for late registration)

Registration deadline: Advance registration for this workshop will close on October 6, 2023. Registration completed after October 6 will be considered late/walk-in and you may not receive materials prior to attending.

MSBA Event Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the event will not be charged. Pre-paid registrants will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 3 to 9 days prior to the event will incur a $100 fee.

Cancellations made 2 days or less prior to the event will be responsible for the full fee.
