Officers’ Workshops

The MSBA Officers’ Workshop for Board Chairs/Vice-Chairs, Clerks and Treasurers is focused on board officers’ responsibilities and basics/fundamentals of laws affecting school boards. Elected board officers, superintendents, staff who support the board, and all interested school board members are encouraged to attend.

Workshop Schedule

Virtual sessions: Choose one session from Part A and one session from Part B

  • Part A: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024
  • Part A: 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, February 29, 2024
  • Part B: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024
  • Part B: 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 7, 2024

Registration deadline for virtual sessions: February 18, 2024 — Registration completed after February 18 will be considered late/walk-ins and materials may not arrive prior to the workshop.

In-person session:

  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Holiday Inn & Suites St. Cloud, 75 South 37th Avenue, St. Cloud, MN 56301

Registration deadline for in-person session: March 1, 2024 — Registration completed after March 1 will be considered late/walk-ins.

Workshop fees: $210 for advance registration ($230 for late registration)

MSBA Event Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the event will not be charged. Pre-paid registrants will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 3 to 9 days prior to the event will incur a $100 fee.

Cancellations made 2 days or less prior to the event will be responsible for the full fee.
