2024 MSBA Leadership Conference
The 2024 MSBA Leadership Conference is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, and Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
There is no registration fee for MSBA members to attend this two-day conference. Registration will be available in fall 2023.
Guests: With the exception of the Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, no guests will be allowed to attend the Leadership Conference due to safety and security concerns. Everyone attending the conference must have a TSLeads-issued badge at all times.
The Leadership Conference features nationally recognized speakers, workshops on a variety of topics, an Exhibit Hall, a School Excellence Showcase, and a Recognition Luncheon. Early Bird Sessions are provided the evening before the conference.

Call for Presentations - Workshops and Roundtables
MSBA invites you to submit a proposal for the 2024 MSBA Leadership Conference. There is one application for both workshops and roundtables. Workshops consist of a one-hour session with attendees and are formal presentations. Roundtables are shorter in length (20 minutes) and have a casual, conversational format.
The application must be submitted in one session and cannot be saved. Click here for a PDF preview of the application questions.

Exhibitor Information
Each year, the MSBA Leadership Conference attracts more than 2,000 school board members, superintendents, business managers and school leaders – concerned people who are anxious to see and hear about new and better products and services in education. This is an excellent opportunity for you to reach potential customers in a very professional atmosphere.

2024 School Excellence Showcase
Does your school district have an excellent, successful educational program or project? MSBA invites you to register for the 2024 MSBA Leadership Conference School Excellence Showcase.
School districts may use the showcase to display exemplary K-12, adult, or early childhood programs. The program presented can be unusual or traditional. It should be a program that reflects an inventive activity or program in which staff and students from your district are actively involved. The possibilities are as vast as your school districts’ new innovative learning methods.
Applications are due November 6, 2023. MSBA will review all of the submissions and contact you by with additional information by November 13, 2023.

2024 All-State School Board Nominations
Nominate one of your school board colleagues for the 2024 MSBA All-State School Board.
Nominated school board members must be serving on a school board which is a current member of MSBA. Only one nomination is allowed per school district. Any nominee must have a Leadership Development Certificate (completing the Phase I-IV workshops) and have attended at least two Leadership Conferences.

2024 Rising Star Awards Nominations
Nominate one of your school board colleagues for the 2024 MSBA Rising Star Award.
Eligible school board members must be serving within their first four years on a school board which is a current member of MSBA. Any nominee must have earned a Leadership Development Certificate (by completing the Phase I-IV workshops) and attended at least two Leadership Conferences.

2024 Leadership Conference Band or Choir Application
An opportunity for school boards to feature their band or choir during the MSBA opening and closing keynote sessions. Performance groups should be no larger than 30 people. Unfortunately, the home school district will be responsible for all expenses associated with travel, meals, and attendance of their students, staff, and chaperones.

Public Event Parking Options for the Minneapolis Convention Center
Visit the Minneapolis Convention Center’s Public Event Parking Options webpage to find places to park for the Leadership Conference. The Convention Center has partnered with four City of Minneapolis parking ramps to increase attendee convenience. All ramps are connected through the skyway system and are located within two blocks of the Convention Center.
