Leadership Foundations — School Finance and Management: Phase II
Presented by MSBA staff and state experts, Leadership Foundations — School Finance and Management: Phase II covers core topics such as the budget, school finance, local levies, policies, significant laws affecting school boards, collective bargaining, and personnel issues.
Note: The sessions in the MSBA Learning to Lead Workshop Series (Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IV) can be taken in any order.

Virtual Session
Two-part virtual workshop:
- Part A: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023
- Part B: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023
Please note: Registrants need to complete both Part A and Part B to receive attendance credit for this workshop.
Workshop fees: $210 for advance registration ($230 for late/walk-in registration)
Mentor* fees: $100 for advance registration ($120 for late/walk-in registration)

Registration deadline: Advance registration for the two-part virtual workshop session will close on December 6, 2023. Registration completed after December 6 will be considered late/walk-in and you may not receive materials prior to attending.

* A “mentor” is either a board member or superintendent who is a mentor for a new board member. In order to receive the mentor fee, the mentor must have previously attended this workshop and their mentee must be in attendance.

MSBA Event Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the event will not be charged. Pre-paid registrants will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 3 to 9 days prior to the event will incur a $100 fee.
Cancellations made 2 days or less prior to the event will be responsible for the full fee.
