Bill Introductions for April 3-4, 2023
The following education-related bills were introduced in the Minnesota Legislature during the 14th week of the 2023 session. The Legislature’s Easter/Passover break began on April 4, and the Legislature will be in recess through Monday, April 10. Committees and legislative activities may resume on Tuesday, April 11.
MSBA hopes that school board members will monitor these bill introduction listings, as they provide updated information about the bills under consideration that may have implications for school boards and school districts across the state. It is critical for board members to understand how introduced bills may impact their own unique school districts.
The Legislature’s break may be a good time to request a conversation with your local representatives. Please thank them for their work during the session and let them know how the proposed omnibus bills will impact your school district.
