Council of School Attorneys (COSA)
MSBA’s Minnesota Council of School Attorneys (MNCOSA) is an organization of more than 60 Minnesota lawyers who represent school boards. MNCOSA’s purpose is to develop and strengthen the legal representation of the state’s school boards.
MNCOSA members receive the Minnesota state association Newsletter; the MSBA Journal; and, via e-mail, MSBA’s The Leader and The MSBA Advocate Weekly. MSBA staff members are available to consult with Minnesota state association members by telephone. In addition, members may register for all Minnesota state association seminars at a reduced rate. Webinar-based Minnesota CLE accredited programming will continue to be offered. MNCOSA dues for 2023-24 are $70.
National School Boards Association COSA (NSBA COSA) dues entitle members to the benefits of the National School Boards Association COSA organization (subscription of the publication “Inquiry and Analysis,” membership in a nationwide email group that discusses school law issues, discounts for publications and seminars, and networking with school law colleagues).
The National School Attorneys Association (NSAA) is a new organization that Minnesota school law attorneys may choose to join.
